The acronym AWANA is from the first letters of "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
WHAT is AWANA?
AWANA is an international, non-denominational bible-based youth organization.
It trains children and youth to know, love and serve Jesus through evangelism and discipleship.
WHO can participate?
Our AWANA program is for children ages 3 through high school.
Cubbies (age 3 - PreK) – children must be potty trained and turn 3 by Sept. 30.
Sparks (K - 2nd grade)
T&T Girls (3rd - 5th grade)
T&T Boys (3rd - 5th grade)
Trek (6th - 8th grade)
Journey (9th - 12th grade)
WHEN do we meet?
Cubbies, Sparks, T&T and Trek meet on Wednesday night during the school year from 7:00-8:30 PM. Journey meets Sundays from 4:30-6:00 PM.
We follow the Prince William County Public Schools calendar for closings. The first night of club for 2019-2020 is Sept. 4.
WHY would my child want to come to AWANA?
Simply stated, AWANA is FUN! Every week while they are learning more about God
and growing deeper in their faith, they are having a good time interacting with their
leaders and peers. There are exciting games, special theme nights, service projects and
other special events they can participate in, as well as earn "shares" for spending at our AWANA store.
