COVID-19 Update for CBC as of March 27, 2020:
Dear Friends and Family of CBC,
The leadership of CBC continues to monitor the rapidly changing events surrounding the response to the Coronavirus pandemic. We continue to keep the care, health, and well-being of our church family paramount in our decision-making. As such, we continue to follow CDC guidance for community and religious organizations.
With this development, and because of care and concern for our church family, we believe it is prudent for Calvary to continue to suspend Sunday services, as well as all activities and events until it is deemed safe. We will reevaluate on a weekly basis to determine future scheduling. Our staff is still working hard while keeping distance. They are all still available via email during this time.
Going forward we will continue to monitor developments and we will keep you updated as to any changes. In the meantime, stay connected by tuning in online via our YouTube channel, our Facebook page and our church website. Also, please continue to give. You may do so by mailing to Calvary Baptist Church 15880 Crest Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22191, or you may give online by clicking the “GIVE” tab at the top of our web page.
We look forward to being able to gather again as a church family, by God’s grace, in the very near future. In the meantime, do not allow your thoughts to be dominated by the negative. Instead, see this time as a positive opportunity to be an example of true commitment and dedication to Christ. How? Answer, by showing a watching world that cessation of gathering together physically will not cause God’s people to fall apart. To the contrary, it will only serve to bring us closer together spiritually. This is because our unity is not found in buildings, it is found in Christ.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:57-58)
