OUR LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

This church recognizes Christ as its Head and the Scriptures as its only authority (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:15; 2 Timothy 3:16). Under that authority, the oversight of this church is vested in a body of Elders who operate in concert with the Deacons, along with the church staff and the congregation. The primary officers of the church are the Elders and Deacons.

Elders
Calvary Baptist Church is led by a group of men serving as elders. Their responsibility is to shepherd the church as servant leaders submitted to Christ.
Staff
The staff at Calvary Baptist Church is charged with carrying out the mission of the church as established and guided by the elders and managing the day-to-day operations.

The elders at Calvary Baptist Church are (from L to R): Paul Martins, Jean Achedou, Richie Stockholm, Terry Stockholm, Geoff Ring, Troy Meadows, and Bill Wright.

Deborah Kim
Office Administrator

Deborah has been serving Calvary Baptist Church since 2021. She is married to Caleb and they have two beautiful daughters. She loves to take family trips and try fun activities. Her favorite Bible verse is Psalms 45:10-11, " Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear: forget your people and your father's house, and the king will desire your beauty. Since he is your lord, bow to him."

Fun Fact: Deborah's favorite fruit is cherimoya.

Paul Martins
Senior Pastor/Teaching Elder

Paul grew up in Northern Virginia where he met and married the love of his life, Karen. They both come from families with military backgrounds. They have a son named Titus who is the apple of their eye. Paul worked in a professional career for several years while he volunteered in a local church before being called to full-time ministry. He has served as an associate and senior pastor prior to coming to Calvary. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, Masters of Divinity & Theology from Capital Bible Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Expository Preaching and Teaching. He is honored to serve alongside his fellow elders in shepherding and leading Calvary Baptist.
Paul is passionate about Christ, His Word, people, and helping people grow in a dynamic relationship with Christ through His Word. Paul enjoys spending time with people hearing their stories, being outdoors, reading great books, all things Lord of the Rings, and watching college football – especially Virginia Tech.
My Life Verse: So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands. – Psalm 78:72
"If you are looking for a church where Christ is the focus, His Word is taught faithfully, and people love each other deeply, then come visit Calvary! Please introduce yourself to me as I would love to meet you!"
